In year 3 of my studies my project team and I were asked to make an app for the fairphone community. Fairphone wanted an app where they could bring their community together, build a stronger community and enlarge their target group.
In year 3 of my studies I was asked to look into a specific type of psychological behavior. For this I looked into addiction and specifically social media addiction. To spread awareness for this I made a game, meant for high schoolers, to show the effects of social media on your brain.
For behavior design, a semester I followed in year 3, school asked me to read and research on the following themes: Ethics, Psychology and Design. With the information I gathered from researching these topics I was asked to put this information onto cards.
When I was little I always admired my mom’s handwriting, it was the perfect combination of elegant and readable. I’ve also had the desire to make a typeface by myself. So, I decided to make a typeface based on my mom’s handwriting. It is also meant as a tribute to my mom, and so she’ll live on forever. This typeface is based on letters and other written notes I found and collected that were made by my mom.
In my 2nd year my friend and I made an app to make it easier for people in the Netherlands to find cruelty free cosmetics. It can be a hustle to find the brands that are not tested on animals an often you have to look on different websites to find these products. We wanted to change this and make it more accessible for Dutch people to switch to cruelty free cosmetics.
In my 2nd year I did an internship with the dean of het Media College Amsterdam. He asked me to make an online environment for the dean and students to plan counseling’s and meetings easier.
